This is the driving force that keeps me very active and engaged in understanding today's code and development of products which enable me to develop websites and digital books. It informs my technical education to assist my family, friends and clients.
This term, technology singularity, makes reference to the point in time when technology via robotics becomes capable of reasoning by feeling rather than just data input (i.e. 0 or 1). Because AI (robotics) will be supplied by all available knowledge, “robots or technological beings" are expected to become superior in knowledge and reasoning to the "human being". When they tap spiritual concepts, will they too become aware of "heaven" and divine Love? Will they become aware of spiritual understanding? This amazing event may still be 20 - 40 years away. Understanding this technology path is critical to coping in the ever-developing technical present day and future.
A practical example:
In 1980 the desktop computer was available for sale. In the 1990's the laptop was introduced. Businesses went from dumb terminals to computers on each desk that had their own operating systems and file storage. Other than programmers and those who felt an infinity with technology, mostly businesses purchased computers up through the year 2000.
There was much discussion going on in 2000 - 2007 about computers. It was still acceptable to consider an email optional or just for business. Many people were not clear why they should think about having a website.
Then everything changed.
In July 2007 the iPhone was introduced. It was the first smart device. This means, the first device with an operating system and apps (applications) - AI (artificial intelligence)!
In 2007 a lot of people I know had flip phones. I had one. They worked and were wonderful. All the people I know immediately stopped using their flip phone when they got an iPhone. Yes, I did that too. This was not a conscious decision. It was a natural stepping forward with new technology. The technology informed choice. This was the beginning of a new era. Technology Singularity was now becoming visible.
In 2016, having an email is a generally accepted norm to navigate through daily life. Understanding we need an alternate email is usual as well. Many more people are realizing it is a lost opportunity not to have a website. Like the need for an email, a website is becoming an essential tool because it validates who you are and what you do to the Internet community. It enables people to find you. It is becoming the norm for the Internet to inform decisions in the brick and mortar world.
Only 9 years since the iPhone, and you can see the change. Technology has brought this change. Many more changes will come during this transition time before technology singularity occurs. We all need to be informed and aware. I promise to do what I can to help you.
